Bodybuilder pleads guilty to child sex abuse

A bodybuilder who pleaded guilty to abusing two teenage boys at a gym in Florida has agreed to a one-year probation sentence and community service, authorities said.

The Orange County district attorney’s office said Patrick Moores, 36, of New Port Richey, pleaded guilty in December to three counts of child molestation.

The men, ages 15 and 16, said Moores molested them while they were in a bathtub, and when the victims later told Moores they were underage, he sexually assaulted them again, prosecutors said.

Moores, who was employed at a Florida gym in 2012, admitted to having a sexual relationship with one of the boys and another boy at a different gym in 2017, according to court records.

He also admitted to another sexual relationship that he had with a third boy, prosecutors told ABC News.

He faces up to 10 years in prison on each count.

The court records did not list an attorney for Moores.

Moors had been on the job at a bodybuilding facility in the Florida Keys for about five years.

The victims came forward with their claims in December after Moores allegedly began sexually abusing them at a Miami gym.ABC News’ David Nevin and Julie O’Sullivan contributed to this report.
