The bodybuilders of the world have joined forces to help clean water of the plastic debris that has accumulated over the years from the construction of the Burbank Aquarium and Hollywood’s Beverly Hills Aquarium.
According to the National Aquarium, there are about 20 million pounds of plastic in the marine ecosystem of the oceans.
A similar number of tons of plastic are estimated to be deposited on land in Los Angeles County.
The Aquarium has been in disrepair since 2007, and has not had a permanent marine facility in Los Feliz since 2014.
With more than 2,000 employees, the Aquarium’s Aquatic Services Division is the largest employer in the United States and employs more than 4,000 people.
More than 20 of the company’s top executives also work at the Hollywood Aquarium in Burbank.
Bethany Linneman, CEO of the Beverly Hills Animal Care Center, which has been providing care for animals for more than 40 years, said the bodybuilders have joined her to help remove plastic waste from the ocean.
“We have been working with them to bring their attention to the ocean as an effective way to clean up plastic,” Linnemen said.
Linneman said that she would be doing the same for other bodies of water in Los Angles, including Los Angeles’ Los Felicis and Orange County’s Orange County Aquatic Gardens.
In the first two years of this year, the Beverly Shore Aquarium removed approximately 8 million pounds (5 million kilograms) of plastic from its sand and concrete beaches, while the Hollywood and Orange Aquariums removed 1.5 million pounds each.
During the first three months of this fiscal year, Los Angeles spent more than $2.3 million cleaning up its beaches and removing plastic debris from the water, according to the Aquatic Solutions Center.
While bodybuilders’ efforts have been applauded by environmental groups and others, bodybuilding experts say that the effort will be difficult to accomplish given the difficulty of removing plastic.
Bodybuilding is a sport that relies on the strength and size of the human body.
While many bodybuilders compete for cash prizes, they have a higher goal of becoming a champion in the sport.
The Los Angeles Aquarium is one of the largest aquariums in the world and is considered one of America’s most iconic water sports venues.
The Aquarium holds its most popular events at night when the crowds can be larger.
