In the early days of her White House run, President Donald Trump’s first wife, Melania Trump, used to talk about how her husband was “the star of the show.”
Now she’s on the cover of Time Magazine’s list of women who have “outdone” their husbands.
Time magazine, whose president, Rupert Murdoch, was a Trump supporter, has named Melania Trump as one of the “Top 20 Women Who Have Outdone Their Husbands.”
In a list of the most influential women in the world, Time lists “Ms. Trump” as the only one of her contemporaries who “has outperformed their husbands.”
Melania Trump, a former model and television personality, is one of several women who has surpassed Trump on the Forbes list of billionaires.
TIME’s list has also included former President Barack Obama, former first lady Michelle Obama, Sen. Elizabeth Warren, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, former President George W. Bush, and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich.
President Trump’s second wife, first lady Melania Trump has been on the front cover of TIME magazine twice since her husband’s election.
TIME named her the “Most Influential First Lady in the World” for the first time in 2016.
In 2016, TIME named former first daughter Ivanka Trump as its most influential woman in the United States.
TIME ranked her fourth on the list of world’s most influential people.
